Bare Aluminum Conductors
Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced is a specific type of high-capacity, high-strength stranded cable used in overhead power lines. The outer strands are aluminum, chosen for its excellent conductivity, low weight, and low cost. The center strand is of galvanized steel, providing extra strength for long spans between towers or poles.
Aluminum Stranded Conductors are concentric lay stranded bare aluminum conductors consisting of one or more layers wrapped around a central wire. ASC conductors are most commonly used in the construction of relatively shorter span distribution power line schemes, as well as flexible busbar connections.
All-Aluminum Alloy Conductors have higher strength but lower conductivity than pure aluminum. Being lighter, alloy conductors can sometimes be used in place of the more conventional ACSR.

Our bare aluminum overhead conductors are manufactured to meet or exceed current ASTM, CSA, & CAN/CSA standards, and have been independently tested and approved.
